Ingrid Kocksch

My name is Ingrid Kocksch Puyol, I am 66 years old. I am by profession a Kindergarten teacher.
I am a mother of two children and three grandchildren. I was born in the south of Chile in Frutillar and come from a family of German ancestry. I have always had great admiration for art. Since I was little, I liked doing things in a more creative and diferent way and always had a very strong sensitivity.

I finished my high school education at the German School of Santiago and performed my college education in Temuco at the University of Chile.
I married a dentist from Osorno and have formed our family. I worked for 20 years at Osorno’s German School, and when my children left home to study their college education, I decided to learn how to paint.
In 1998 I took clases with Graciela Miranda Cayupi, she tought me how to draw, compose, oil technique, dry pastel, mixed media and acrylic.

In 1999 I attended drawing clases with the painter Carmen Silva at “Centro Cultural Las Condes”. In 2004, I started painting clases with the artist and painter Victoria Valjalo whith whom I still paint. In 2010, I attended Universidad Austral to learn about color with the
university teacher Eduardo Vilches. In 2012, I took classes at Universidad Catolica of Santiago to learn more about color with Berit Bergstrom, a teacher from Sweden.

I have exhibited several times in Osorno Frutillar and Santiago / Chile
